Answers, second opinions, comments and posts on AskaSurgeon are general education about procedures and conditions. The surgeon writing them has not examined you and does not know your medical history, even if you uploaded photos or videos. Nothing in the public questions and answers is a diagnosis, prescription or recommendation to have or not have any procedure, and asking or answering does not create a doctor–patient relationship.

Surgeons may disagree, because practice varies between surgeons and countries. Always speak to a qualified professional who can examine you before deciding on any treatment, and never delay seeking or ignore advice from your own doctor because of something you read here.

A paid consultation is different: the surgeon gives you individual advice, and the professional relationship is between you and that surgeon, not AskaSurgeon. An online consultation cannot replace an in-person examination, and you should ask for one before any treatment is planned.

We check each surgeon's licences with their regulators. A verified badge is not an endorsement of a surgeon, their clinic, prices or results. Results vary from person to person.
